Temporary Powers Guide


 

Temporary powers are powers gained from before/during/after missions.  These powers range from normal archetype to the completely extraordinary. This area is under heavy development. Meaning some listed powers may not be available at all or may not be temporary non-beneficial status effects.  If you have any of the missing information please email me about it

12ish Test EMP Gauntlet on Clockwork (temp-power mission) EMP Gloves Ranged Energy DAM

1 hour -or- till returning to contact This glove can deliver a high power, focused Electromagnetic Pulse to a target. Deals good damage and can drain Endurance from the target. Very effective against machines of all types. The EMP Glove will last 1 hour of real time.
15? Rescue partygoers from Trolls (temp-power mission) Medkit Self Heal  8 uses This Med Kit allows you to heal 1/4 of your hit points. The Med Kit has 8 uses.
15 - 20 Test Wave Scrambler (temp-power mission) Wave Scrambler Cone Special DAM
 Foe -Recharge
1 hour -or- till returning to contact  This device was built to interfere with Clockwork's energy signals within its conical area of effect. The Wave Scrambler will last 1 hour of real time.
15 - 20 Stop the artifacts auction (temp-power mission)
Ring of Pain Ranged

10mins of activated time The Ring of Pain is a dark device. It can severely reduce a target's Defense, at the cost of the owner's health. As the target's Defense is lowered, you will continue to lose Hit Points until you deactivate the ring. The Ring of Pain can remain active for about 10 minutes before it is exhausted of its negative energy.
Scroll of Ruin Ranged (Targeted AoE)
 Foe -DEF
1 use This incantation will drastically reduce the Defense of all foes in the affected area. The affected foes become vulnerable and incredibly easy to hit. This scroll possesses powerful dark magics, and its effects are almost impossible to resist or avoid. The Scroll of Ruin can only be used once.

Returning to contact after completing mission You have been infected with the Vahzilok Wasting Disease. This disease, introduced by the Vahzilok, is slowly wasting you away. Find a cure, quick! Your Max Hit Points, Endurance, Regeneration, and Recovery have been reduced.
15 - 20 Decrease Tsoo territory (temp-power mission) Lethargy Inducer  Ranged

20 uses -or-  till returning to contact This invention can cause a target to feel tired and worn down, reducing the speed of their attacks. The Lethargy Inducer has 20 charges.
15 - 21 Synapse's Taskforce Clockwork Immobilizer MkI Ranged

1 use -or-  till returning to contact This device was invented by Positron, specifically to interfere with the signals the Clockwork King uses to animate his minions. This is the prototype model, and has only one shot.
Clockwork Immobilizer MkII Ranged
 Clockwork Hold
1 use -or- till returning to contact This device was invented by Positron, specifically to interfere with the signals the Clockwork King uses to animate his minions. This is the upgraded model. It still has only one shot, but should be more effective.
Clockwork Immobilizer MkIII Ranged

1 use -or- till returning to contact This device was invented by Positron, specifically to interfere with the signals the Clockwork King uses to animate his minions. This is the Mark III model. It still has only one shot, but should be more effective and last a longer amount of time.
Clockwork Immobilizer MkIV Ranged
 Clockwork Hold
1 use -or- till returning to contact This device was invented by Positron, specifically to interfere with the signals the Clockwork King uses to animate his minions. This is the the most powerful version, and should be effective against the Clockwork King himself. Positron apologizes that is still only has one charge.
17ish? Seek clues to Lost's plans (temp-power mission) Plasmatic Taser Cone

1 hour This non-lethal plasma device that is more effective than a normal Stun Blaster. It unleashes a cone of energy that knocks foes back. The Plasmatic Taser will last 1 hour of real time.
20ish? Test the Genetic Restabilizer (temp-power mission) Genetic Restabilizer Ranged
 Foe Hold
12 uses - or- until returning to your contact This device can stop mutations and even begin a reversal of the process in certain cases. The effect, however, can temporarily render a victim helpless and unable to defend himself. The Genetic Restabilizer has 12 charges.
20ish? Recover the Platonic Solids (temp-power mission) Geometric Gauntlets Ranged
 Foe Immobilization
 -Fly 
60mins real time This Geometric Gauntlet creates a localized gravitational field strong enough to Immobilize a single foe. The target can still attack, but cannot move. It is also powerful enough to bring down flying entities.
20 - 25 The Wheel of Destruction (storyarc) Empowered Center of the Wheel Melee
 moderate DMG (Fire/Lethal)
1 hour after mission -or- until you return to your contact This metal rod has been empowered by the Banished Pantheon. While carrying it, you can summon a Sword of Flame.
Empowered Linchpin of the Wheel Toggle: Self
 +Res(Smash, Lethal, Energy, Negative)
1 hour after mission -or- until you return to your contact This broken piece of an ancient artifact has been empowered by the Banished Pantheon. While carrying it, you can summon a cloak of flames to protect you from harm. While active, you take less damage from Smashing, Lethal, Energy, and Negative Energy attacks.
Empowered Piece of the Wheel Ranged
 Moderate DMG(Fire)
1 hour after mission -or- until you return to your contact This broken piece of an ancient artifact has been empowered by the Banished Pantheon. While carrying it, you have the power to launch a torrent of flames at your opponent.
Empowered Shard of the Wheel Melee
 Minor DMG(Fire)
1 hour after mission -or- until you return to your contact This broken piece of an ancient artifact has been empowered by the Banished Pantheon. While carrying it, you can scorch your enemies with your hands.
20 - 25 Pwnz (badge mission) Confiscated Beanbag Ranged

50 uses You confiscated this weapon from a Freakshow base. It fires a single, non-lethal Beanbag that can seriously Disorient a target. You have 50 Beanbags.
20 - 25 Stop Cryonite Armor Design Theft (temp-power mission) Cryonite Armor Self

1 hour of activated time As a thank you, the company has given you the opportunity to be the first to test this technology in the field. You have enough power to operate the Cryonite Armor for 1 hour of on time.

Recover the stolen Chameleon Suit (temp-power mission) Freakshow Disguise Auto: Self Stealth 15 mins This suit can cause you to look like a member of the Freakshow without actually undergoing the hazardous cybernetic surgery. You can pass completely unnoticed by the Freakshow. However, if you take any aggressive actions, your cover will be blown, and the disguise will no longer be effective. This disguise will last 15 minutes of real time.
25 - 30 Investigate the city of Oranbega (temp-power mission) Sands of Mu Melee (Cone)

4 real days You recovered this strange black sand from a Circle of Thorns hideout. While carrying it, you have the ability to deal a flurry of punches charged with the Negative Energy of the Netherworld. The sand must be returned to the MAGI vault within 4 real days.
25 - 30 Mystical Savior (badge mission) Undead Slaying Axe Melee

Completion of mission This weapon was specifically crafted by MAGI to slay the undead.
25 - 30 Stop the theft of Rikti Technology (temp-power mission) Manifold Resonator Self Teleport

unknown # of uses After Teleporting, you will remain intangible for a while. During this time, you cannot activate any other powers. As you slowly phase into normal space, you will remain partially visible, your Accuracy will be reduced, but your Defense will be improved.
Resonance Disrupter Toggle: Self Stealth

Disappears after so much activated time (unknown amount) The Resonance Disruptor bends light around you to make you completely Invisible. If you attack while Invisible, you will be detected, although you will still have a huge bonus to Defense. This technology is unstable, and you will take damage over time as long as it is active.
30 - 35 Freak/Nemesis Weapons Deal (temp-power mission) Nemesis Staff Ranged

5 real days You confiscated this strange, steam-powered staff from a Freakshow hideout. The staff shoots a bolt of energy that deals damage, knocks back foes, and may stun them, You should test the weapon in the field, then return it to the DATA labs for study within 5 real days.
36 - 41 Abandoned Sewers Trial Partial Cannon Ranged

#? uses The Particle Cannon is a heavy Rikti weapon that can reverse the polarity of of an entity brought through a dimensional rift, sending it back to its own universe. Against other targets, it has no effect. the particle cannon can send the Hydra Head back to its dimension. The particle beam is slow, and must be held on the target for a long time. The Particle Cannon has limited charges, so use it wisely.
Thermite Cannon Ranged (Cone)
 Moderate DoT(Plasma)
#? uses The Thermite Plasma Cannon is a Rikti weapon. The Plasma is relatively cool, and only moderately dangerous. However, it has be discovered that Thermite Plasma is deadly to the Hydra. It is best to save the weapon's limited charges for defeating the Hydra.
40 - 45 Take down a Revenant Hero lab (temp-power mission) Crey Narcotic Auto: Self

30 mins -or- returning to contact The Crey scientists have injected you with a narcotic that slows your movement speed, attack speed, and Endurance recovery! After completing your mission, you should seek help from your contact. If you cannot reach your contact, the effect should wear off.
40 - 45? ?Praetorian mission vs BlackSwan? Fettering Nimbus Ranged
 Moderate DoT(Energy)
 Target Immobilize
?? The magician you rescued from Black Swan's shadow creatures has imbued you with the power to bring forth a strange white light from your hands. This light is painful to shadows, and can hold them in place while dealing Energy damage to them.

500 uses After drinking Cadoa Kestral's magic draught, you have the ability to destroy the Madame of Mystery, the psychic projection of Madeleine Casey. This is the only way to free Madeleine's soul from the carnival's hold. Psychic Cleaver has 500 charges. Damage: moderate, Recharge: fast
